Zuidas

Amsterdam's office cluster — and Europe's largest equities venue post-Brexit.

Zuidas is Amsterdam's southern business district, hugging the A10 ring road around Amsterdam South station. It hosts the Dutch headquarters of ABN AMRO, ING (HQ tower), and the European offices of Cboe, Bloomberg, and many tier-one law firms. After Brexit, Euronext Amsterdam became Europe's largest equities-trading venue by volume in 2021 as share trading shifted out of London.

Origin

Planned from the 1990s on the strip between the A10 motorway and the Amsterdam South Axis. The Symphony Tower opened in 2009; ABN AMRO consolidated there in the 2000s.
