Not investment advice
All output from Arithmos (including generated indexes, holdings, weights, rationale, backtests, attribution, news commentary, leaderboards, blog content and any AI-generated text or chart) is produced for general research and educational purposes only. None of it is investment advice, a personal recommendation, an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security, or a suitability or appropriateness assessment for you specifically.
Not regulated
Arithmos is not authorised or regulated as an investment advisor, broker-dealer, fund manager or financial institution by the UK Financial Conduct Authority, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, or any other regulator in any jurisdiction. We do not carry on any regulated activity. If you require regulated investment advice you should consult an authorised financial advisor in your jurisdiction.
No deposit / investor compensation cover
Because Arithmos is not authorised and does not hold client money or assets, your use of the service is not covered by the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), the US Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), the EU investor-compensation schemes implementing Directive 97/9/EC, or any equivalent scheme elsewhere. Any money you choose to invest through your own broker is subject to whatever protections that broker provides — not to any protection that Arithmos can offer.
Capital is at risk
The value of investments can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you originally invested. Past performance, including historical backtest results displayed on Arithmos, is not a reliable indicator of future performance. Currency, interest-rate, market and counterparty risks all apply. Some securities surfaced by Arithmos may be illiquid, leveraged, or otherwise carry elevated risk.
Backtest limitations
Backtests on Arithmos are simulated using historical data. Simulated performance has inherent limitations: it does not represent actual trading, does not account for slippage in the size you might trade, may not reflect the impact of material economic and market factors on decision-making, and benefits from hindsight in selecting the universe and rules. See the backtest methodology page for the full set of caveats and assumptions.
AI-generated content
Arithmos uses our in-house portfolio-construction agent and other automated systems to generate rationales, summaries and supporting commentary. These systems can be wrong, can hallucinate facts, and can present outdated information with confidence. Always verify any factual claim against a primary source before acting on it.
Data accuracy
Pricing, fundamentals, news and other reference data are obtained from third-party providers. Data may be delayed, inaccurate or incomplete. Arithmos uses commercially reasonable efforts to surface accurate data but does not guarantee accuracy, completeness or timeliness, and is not liable for losses arising from data errors.
Your responsibility
Any decision to act on information generated by Arithmos (including buying, selling or holding any security) is yours alone. You are solely responsible for evaluating the merits and risks associated with any such decision, and for the tax and legal consequences in your jurisdiction.
